A Wonderful Thanksgiving

Today has been a great day! I am exhausted and my body hurts and and and, LoL. However, it has been a wonderful Thanksgiving!

All of us except for Alex, Allie & Chris are hanging out watching Chuckin’ Punkin’s. I don’t know what Chris is doing, and the other two are at Allie’s parents house for their 2nd Thanksgiving dinner. We had all 10 of us at the table and I so enjoyed it. I love having the whole crew at the table. We might end up keeping the 2nd table handy to use on evenings when everyone is here.

All of the food turned out perfect and I took some pictures which I will post a bit later. The only thing I burnt was the cornbread when I was reheating it. :(

Pam & Andy LOVED the sweet potato souffle! Which I was glad for because I don’t really eat it so I didnt taste test it.

After dinner we all hung out at the table for a while, then everyone helped clean up. Marc & Chris did the dishes so I didnt have to. It was soooooo sweet of them. We then played in the pouring rain (I don’t know how long it has been since we have had a great rain, but we finally got some today). It made for great memories. We are dessert later on and then made orange / clove balls. Now they are all watching the punkin tossing contest and all is well at The Pitcher Homestead.

It was a totally wonderful day, which I am glad to say included my sister and my niece.

I hope your day was as wonderful as ours!

Blessings,
Mama

Thanksgiving is almost here

Wow! Thanksgiving is tomorrow. We will be having somewhere from 10-15 people here tomorrow. The kitchen is in shambles and the house hasn’t been dusted in weeks. The windows are dirty too. Boy, are these boys going to be busy today.

I know that I am supposed to be taking it super oober easy, but there is so much I feel I need to do. I will be having the guys (Jessica is @ school) do a bunch of it for me, but some things a Mama has to do. (Like the cooking, or we would be eating pizza and hot dogs for Thanksgiving) LoL

It is 8am and I’ve already made sugar cookies, done some of the animal care, made coffee, gotten Jessica off to school and Marc off to work. I also have my list for today done and gathered the rest of the recipe’s that I will need. I also got to watch/listen to JHM and watched am episode of Clean House (whooo wants a clean house).

Next comes cuting and boiled the sweet potatoes for the souffle and doing the dishes.

I have a big ole list after that still. But, I’ve got some cinammon and cloves onto boil so the house smells like the holidays and I am getting to put some holiday music on.

I will update as I get a chance. I am sitting and resting for 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off so today will probably have a bunch of posts. Hope y’all don’t mind.

Blessings,
Mama
