Exhaustion

Patrick is home. We are working off of a schedule and I am not so good at it. I am learning though.

Yesterday was a long day with stress and meetings. I did not sleep much last night and this morning we were back up and out the door about 7:30.

We did a run to the landfill. Then I dropped Pat and the trash cans off at home. I went to the feed store (not one of the closest two, their hay is awful right now). 24 bales of hay and seeing someone I hoped to never see again, then back home. Farrier here for hoof trimmings. Faith was awful! I do NOT know what got into her. Then offload 24 bales of said hay. Do a few chores and off again to head to town for a lunch date and a trip to the hardware store for supplies to put in a water line out back, chicken coop supplies, as well as some stuff to repair the wall and floor of the RV. Then back home, do chores, work with horses, deal with a hyper 3 legged dog and then my sister too. It is always interesting. Then time to make dinner, eat and enjoy a small bit of time with the family that was here & clean up. Then working on next weeks schedule, which again, is not an easy thing for me. The phone calls and here I am at 9pm finally getting some computer time.

The computer time will increase this coming week, as I am @ home Mon, Tues, Thurs & Friday. YAY!!!!!

I hope all y’all are staying safe and warm (although we are going to be near 80′f for the the next week).

Blessings,
Mama

UGH Monopolizing phone company…starts with a Q

The danged monopolizing phone company who’s name starts with Q…we changed our phone number due to a misprint in their phone book…they charged us $10 to change the number. Fine, it’s worth it. We don’t like late night phone calls from weird people. Heck, we don’t like late night phone calls from anyone unless it’s urgent.

I have had the same account with them for 13 years. When they changed the number, they created a new account. New accounts require different payment dates. Do you think they informed me of the new dates? NO…so now we are without cell phone service. Which is really okay, because we have been being charged a bunch because we have not been on contract with them for a year. But we will just go and get Marc one from Cricket, so all will be well.

I am so glad that where we are moving to does not have this dumb phone company whose name starts with a Q. They are a terrible company.

I guess I am done ranting now.

Thanks for listening,
Mama

Quick Update

Okay, rammed by a bull on Wednesday evening.

After 3 days I finally gave in and went to doctors. (Lack of health insurance kept me from going in). I called my dr. and they couldn’t get me in until Tuesday (this was on Saturday). A trip to urgent care, a handful of x-rays and 2 hours later…tada. I have 3 ribs that are bruised so badly, that there is a color difference in the x-rays. Sever, deep contusions to 3 of the middle ribs of my right side. I have bruising inside of my right breast as well as bruised muscles around the rib cage and around my lungs. NO Fun. Though Thank God that the ribs aren’t broken and that nothing splintered off or punctured the lungs!

They gave me prescription narcotic pain meds and sent me on my way with orders not to do anything that uses the muscles of my right side for a minimum of 3 days. He would like to see a full week of immobility, but settled on 3 days and an update visit to my regular physician during this upcoming week.

The pain meds make me dumb, so I am avoiding them. I did however take a couple of steroids (prescribed for my breathing issues lately) and they helped more than anything I’ve tried so far. I only have a handful left, so I will use them sparingly over the next few days and see how it goes.

I will update again when I can.

Blessings in Christ,
Pauline

And I am still stuck in this awful desert. I am NOT a desert person. The air is drying out and so are my eyes and my throat. My skin is becoming parched and dust billows around your feet as you walk. I would so much rather be someplace where I sweat so much that my clothes look like I put them on wet. I’m like a frog…I can’t live without moisture.
