A Holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said, ‘ God , I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like..’

God led the holy man to two doors.

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.

In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man’s mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished.

They were holding spoons with very long handles, that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.

But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

God said, ‘You have seen Hell.’

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one.

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man’s mouth water.

The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, ‘I don’t understand.’

It is simple,’ said God . ‘It requires but one skill.

You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.’

Its estimated 93% won’t forward this. If you are one of the 7% who will, forward this with the title ‘7%’.

Remember that I will always share my spoon with you.

Todd Agnew – Grace Like Rain

This is one of my favorite songs

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I’m found
Was blind but now I see so clearly

Hallelujah, grace like rain falls down on me
Hallelujah, all my stains are washed away, washed away

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

When we’ve been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We’ve no less days to sing Your praise
Than when we first begun

Prayers for a Dear Friends Opa

A dear friend of mine that I’ve known since high school is going through a VERY scary time right now. Her Opa was put in the hospital yesterday. They discovered a brain tumor. As of last we heard it was operable and he will be having surgery at some point in time today. Please pray for Cyndie and her family in this difficult time.

Blessings,
Mama

Decluttering the office

I am amazed and exhausted.

I spent 5 hours yesterday sorting stuff from the office. I got ride of (trash or marked for sale or give away) a total of 9 big black trash bags and about 6 rubbermaids of stuff. Out of all that I sorted I kept the pictures, cd’s, a small box of craft stuff and 2 milkcrates of things.

Today my totals were 5 bags and 3 rubbermaids. I only spent 2 hours decluttering. But then I got to start organizing and making it look like an office. I am actually sitting here at my desk, listening to KLove and typing. It is nice. My desk is cleared as is my sewing table and the tattoo table is mostly done. About 1/4 of the shelves are finished and the closet just needs a box moved up there and blank paper put up at the top. I also finished a baby quilt and quilted a burp cloth.

I am so tired (we also had a baby shower to go to this afternoon & it was across town). It was worth it. I do still have a pile to sort of big stuff, but I’ll hit that up tomorrow and I’ll be all good!

I hope everyone has had a productive day!

Blessings,
Mama

Not Posting Regularly & Changes

I have not been physically able to sit at the desk for long enough to post as of late. I have changed treatment directions so I am hoping this will make a difference. I am refusing to take the pain medication and while the pain is definatly there (running at about a 7 this morning compaired to a 10+ two mornings ago).

I am on my 5th day of the different treatment option and I am able to do more things. I made breakfast yesterday for Marc, Jessica & I. I also took a few of the kids to a local museum to do some painting / drawing. So far today, I’ve managed to get some ingredients in the machine for bread and I’ve got a load of laundry going.

It is not alot at this point. Especially compaired to my normal routine. But I am able to do somethings, which is more than I was able to do 2 weeks ago.

I also got the laptop moved and set up in the livingroom. While I am sitting in this danged chair, and when my pain level is down low enough, I’ll be able to be online.

I hope y’all are doing great!

Blessings,
Mama
