Is That A Desk?

That is what I am asking myself this morning / heading into afternoon. I got all my outside chores done and had a nice breakfast with Pat & Marc, then I decided to work a bit on my ‘office’. It hasn’t looked like an office for a long time. Much work was put into clearing the bulk of stuff out, but then all this stuff happened with Patrick and then my Father, and I haven’t felt much like doing much in here other than playing computer games.

So, after thinking about it for 3 weeks, I am working on my office today. And I have discovered that under this keyboard and around to my right and even some on my left there is wooden thing. After much clearing, I am finding what is looking like it is going to be a desk.

I am hoping that as I move further to the sides, I will find the clear space that I know is hiding beyond the couple of piles of things that have been stacked in here. It will be delightful to get this stuff cleared out as my book cabinet and a large aquarium are supposed to be coming in here.

I have these hermit crabs that the kids got me for mothers day, 3 years ago. And I am sure they will enjoy a new VERY large habitat! I am hoping to get enough cleared that the cabinet and tank can come in here this afternoon.

I am not holding my breath, as I tend to fizzle out after a couple of hours of work (and I already did 3 hours outside). OH SNAP! Myra is coming back today. So maybe I’ll have it done to where the stuff can come in here tomorrow.

I hope y’all are having a great weekend!

Blessings,
Mama

tired

I am very tired tonight. Physically as well as emotionally. Life would be so much easier if there were no stress. But alas, it is not so.

None of it is unhandlable, but it just seems to come on heavily for a month or two then dwindles down a bit.

It would be great if it was a small amount each day! I could totally handle that.

Myra is coming back. Which is just a financial stress. It’s not a bad thing. The lady wanted her as a trail horse, and she just isn’t trained for that. She is an arena horse. So, she comes back to her rescue home on Sunday.

That’s the least of the stress and I am going to be glad for it.

Well, good night,
mama

country is getting bloodied by fallout from the housing

The country is getting bloodied by fallout from the housing, credit and financial crises_ the worst since the 1930s. And there’s no easy fix for a quick turnaround, economists said.

Zion

I would like to introduce Zion.  He is the newest member of the homestead.  He is a 9 week old Great Pyrenees / Staffie mix.  Both of his parents have the most sweet personality.  He has his daddies paws and his daddies personality.  He has already learned to use the front steps and is doing well with the other dogs.

forget those things which are behind

Philippians 3:13-14 (King James Version)

13Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I am learning to forget those things which are behind. It is not easy. I have alot of behind to forget.

But I am working diligently on reaching for things which are before. I awake each morning all new and fresh. Even on down days or on days when it hurts to move. I am still awaking new.

Thank You God for giving Your only Son so that I may have today.

Amen

Exhaustion

Patrick is home. We are working off of a schedule and I am not so good at it. I am learning though.

Yesterday was a long day with stress and meetings. I did not sleep much last night and this morning we were back up and out the door about 7:30.

We did a run to the landfill. Then I dropped Pat and the trash cans off at home. I went to the feed store (not one of the closest two, their hay is awful right now). 24 bales of hay and seeing someone I hoped to never see again, then back home. Farrier here for hoof trimmings. Faith was awful! I do NOT know what got into her. Then offload 24 bales of said hay. Do a few chores and off again to head to town for a lunch date and a trip to the hardware store for supplies to put in a water line out back, chicken coop supplies, as well as some stuff to repair the wall and floor of the RV. Then back home, do chores, work with horses, deal with a hyper 3 legged dog and then my sister too. It is always interesting. Then time to make dinner, eat and enjoy a small bit of time with the family that was here & clean up. Then working on next weeks schedule, which again, is not an easy thing for me. The phone calls and here I am at 9pm finally getting some computer time.

The computer time will increase this coming week, as I am @ home Mon, Tues, Thurs & Friday. YAY!!!!!

I hope all y’all are staying safe and warm (although we are going to be near 80′f for the the next week).

Blessings,
Mama
